About F.O.C.U.S.™

Our Story

F.O.C.U.S.™ — the Farming Output Carbon Utilisation Standard for coffee — was launched in 2022 with support from the European Space Agency (ESA).

We worked alongside coffee farmers in East Africa for 13 years—testing practices, understanding constraints, and seeing what works at scale.

That work became GAP77™ — 77 practical regenerative farming methods that underpin the programme. F.O.C.U.S.™ builds on this, using satellite data and soil science to measure and verify carbon stored across coffee farms.
